Remove the bore plug from the

Remove snap ring from housing
using retaining ring pliers [photo] |

Remove and save shims [photo] |

With a soft mallet, tap lightly
on shaft removing shaft assembly from the bore plug
end [photo] |

Remove the input shaft and
check the condition of the ball bearings, they should
run smoothly and not bind. [photo] |

Remove 4 hex-head bolts using
wrench to expose input oil seal [photo] |
