With screwdriver,
pierce input bore plug.

Remove bore
plug from housing. |

Remove outboard
retaining ring from housing bore. Remove metal shims
located between snap ring and ball bearings.

Remove 4 screws
from motor flange and remove flange from housing.

Remove input
worm assembly through bore opposite flange side.

Remove oil
seal from housing bore. Inboard retaining ring will
remain in housing. |

Check condition
of ball bearing. Bearings should roll smoothly and not
bind. If bearings need replacement, remove snap ring
and press shaft through bearing.

Install new
bearings onto shaft and reassemble snap ring. If not
already packed with grease, bearings should be packed
at least 50% full with Lubux XP #2. |
